Notice

We ask for 2-3 week’s notice for any order and 1-2 years notice for wedding cakes. Last minute orders can be taken but are subject to availability. Sometimes we can manage a cake/cupcake with 1-2 days notice however it depends on our diary for that week and the level of detail on your order.

How to Order

You can make enquiries via email, facebook or Instagram. No order is booked in until a deposit has been taken. Deposits are paid via bank transfer.

 

Deposits

When you’re ready to place an order we take a 50% deposit for celebration cakes. Final balance can be paid upon collection.
For cupcake orders we require full payment to book in.
For wedding cakes we take a £100 deposit to book in and secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid a month before your wedding.

Deposits can only be paid via bank transfer. All deposits are non-refundable however we will happily move your deposit to a different date/different cake for free providing we have the availability for the new date.

We will only ever ask for 50% as a deposit. If you choose to pay more/full amount then you are doing so with the understanding that this is counted as your deposit.

 

 

Cake

Photographs on our website/social media accurately represents our cake designs however sizes, colours and fine details may appear different in person.
Due to the handmade nature of each order, colours and finish may differ.
If for any reason you are unhappy with your order we require to be notified within 24 hours by either phone call or email/social media message. In any case, we recommend calling the store as soon as possible as we may be able to alter the cake to correct any issues.
Photographs will be require to show any faults/damage.
Please note that although refunds can be offered, compensation over the total cost of the cake will not be paid.
Should your cake have any non-edible elements such as cocktail sticks etc these will be discussed at the time of collection.

 

Allergies

Although we put procedures into place when making orders with dietary restrictions such as nut/egg allergies we can not guarantee that there will be no risk to allergy sufferers. This is due to products such as nuts etc being used within the premises.

 

Delivery

We deliver cakes within mainland Scotland and prices are dependant on the distance.
Deliveries can be made Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm subject to availability.
We cannot guarantee delivery for every order so we recommend arranging this with us as soon as possible.
If you have a time requirement for the delivery then we ask for a 2-3 hour time slot as exact times can not be guaranteed.
If for any reason no one is there to accept and sign for the delivery then it will be brought back to our shop where you can arrange collection or redelivery for an additional charge.
Upon delivery a signature will be required to confirm the order has arrived in an acceptable condition. Once it has been signed for we can not accept responsibility for the cake.

 

Collection

Collection can be arranged upon ordering your cake.

Upon collection you will be asked to sign for your cake to certify that you are happy with it. If you see any faults (e.g spelling mistakes) then you must notify us of this before taking your cake away.
If you are for any reason disappointed with your order then please let us know and we will try our best to rectify it for you. Please note that adding extra decoration that was not initially discussed when placing your order may be an additional charge.

Once your cake is signed for and taken away from our store then we are no longer liable for the condition of the cake. It is our policy to instruct customers on how best to transport and store the cake. Should the cake get damaged as a result of ignoring our advice then we can not be held responsible.

Non-Edible Elements

Should your cake have any non-edible elements in or on it such as cake card, dowels, polystyrene or wired flowers we will explain this at the time of collection. Written confirmation of non-edible elements can be given if asked. It is your responsibility to listen to our care instructions and take them on board when serving your cake.

Responsibility to read through this is taken on by yourself and by placing an order with us you are agreeing with our terms and conditions. Thank you for reading.
